The Meaning Behind Our Name & Us
Edu + Mansha
Edu
Representing education, the foundation of everything we do. We are dedicated to providing continuous learning opportunities that empower individuals to grow personally and professionally in a fast-evolving world.
Mansha
From the Sanskrit word for “intention” or “desire,” representing the purposeful drive to achieve, grow, and transform through education. Learning isn’t just about knowledge; it’s about fulfilling personal aspirations and driving meaningful change in communities.
What We Actually Do
Education that happens outside the classroom
An association that connects non-formal education, youth work and community building with European mobility. Most of our week is workshops, group work and projects in the places where people actually live and work — and alongside it we run Erasmus+ KA1 mobility training courses for school staff, VET trainers, adult educators and youth workers in Lisbon and Porto.
Youth Work
Youth participation, NEETs, young migrants and first-time mobility participants. Informal spaces where young people build confidence, a voice, and a first real experience of Europe.
Community Building
Open workshops in Lisbon and Porto that put neighbours, newcomers and volunteers in the same room. Art, language, food and culture as the way in to belonging.
KA1 Mobilities
Erasmus+ KA1 staff training courses and youth worker mobilities in Portugal — structured training weeks, job shadowing and hosting for schools, VET providers, adult education centres and youth organisations.
When the work does run through Erasmus+, our KA1 mobility courses are built for participants from all four sectors:

Erasmus+ is one part of what we do, not the whole of it. Our youth work, adult and VET training, and community projects in Lisbon and Porto grow through everyday partnerships with schools, municipalities, NGOs, and local people. When an idea fits Erasmus+, we take it into KA1 training courses or KA2 partnerships — but our work and approach remain the same.

At EduMansha – Associação, our goal is simple: to promote lifelong learning that equips individuals for the challenges of the 21st century — through courses, workshops, and resources that help people stay current, adaptable, and prepared for the future.
Founded with a commitment to continuous education, we believe learning should be accessible to everyone, at every stage of life — from emerging technologies to personal growth.
We are a Portugal-based non-profit association. Day to day that means non-formal education — youth work, community workshops and creative methods in Lisbon and Porto. It also means mobility: we host Erasmus+ KA1 staff training courses for school teachers, VET trainers, adult educators and youth workers, and partner on KA2 cooperation projects across Europe.
Our themes span non-formal methods and youth participation, vocational and adult upskilling, digital skills and AI, STEM and sustainability, inclusion, wellbeing, soft skills and language learning.
