Objectives

• Develop comprehensive training materials that equip disadvantaged women with the knowledge and practical skills needed to identify, prevent, and overcome economic abuse.
• Increase awareness and understanding of economic abuse by helping women recognize its signs, consequences, and links to domestic and gender-based violence.
• Enhance financial literacy and economic empowerment among disadvantaged women, enabling them to make informed financial decisions and improve their economic self-sufficiency.
• Provide information on women’s rights and available support mechanisms, including legal protection, social services, counseling, and community resources.
• Address the emotional and psychological impacts of economic abuse by promoting self-confidence, resilience, and well-being.
• Develop practical resources for trainers, adult educators, social workers, and service providers to strengthen their capacity to effectively support women experiencing economic abuse.
• Create opportunities for peer learning and mutual support through the establishment of an online support network that fosters solidarity, shared experiences, and empowerment among women.
• Strengthen the competencies of trainers and service providers through dedicated training activities, enabling them to deliver high-quality support and financial literacy education.
• Pilot and test the training modules and learning resources with the target groups in partner countries, identifying strengths, challenges, and areas for improvement.
• Promote the dissemination and sustainability of project results through multiplier events, a final conference, and stakeholder engagement at local, national, and international levels.
