Final meeting in Lisbon: evaluation, sustainability and reporting

The partnership met one last time in Lisbon, hosted by EDUMANSHA, to close the project properly. Not with a celebration, but with an evaluation meeting.

Three things were on the table.

Outcomes

Partners went through what the project actually produced and what the numbers say: the INVEST IN YOUTH board game and the Finance is Civic guide, both finished and free to use, and the survey evidence behind them: personal finance basics up 12.1 points and civic money awareness up 9.8 points against the baseline. The three weakest areas identified at the start had all narrowed, with compounding still the one carrying the most room to grow.

Sustainability

The harder question: what happens to the tools now that the funding period is over. Both results are designed to outlive the project. The game exists as a physical edition and as print & play in four languages, and the guide needs no economics background to facilitate, so any youth organisation can pick either one up. Partners discussed where they travel next: youth organisations beyond the three countries, adult education for people who never received financial education, and mobility programmes where the board works as a conversation starter across nationalities.

Final reporting

The meeting also settled the closing administrative work, evidence, indicators and the final report to the National Agency, so that what the project learned is written down in a form other people can use.
